A few days after returning, I sprained my ankle while walking around Harvard Square. But two strangers off the street -- and later some friends -- helped me with getting ice and getting to a medical center.
* Hobbling on crutches, I showed up at the end of a Boston Comics Roundtable meeting, where I was greeted with "Oh no! What happened!" "Are you all right?" and "Whoa! Gimpy! Sorry, no cripples allowed in here!" Despite the last remark, I think the incident overall shows how nice people are.

I shooed the insect to the roadside after taking its photo, so it wouldn't get run over by a car.
